Screening of Brian’s Song with Family Lives On Foundation and Lori Piccolo
April 11 @ 6:30 pm$50
Please join the Family Lives On Foundation for a special screening of the classic film “Brian’s Song”.
The Story of Chicago Bears players Brian Piccolo and Gayle Sayers and how their friendship on and off the field was affected when Piccolo received a terminal diagnosis.
Our special guest for the evening is Brian’s daughter Lori who will share with you her personal story and intimate feelings on growing up without her father and how her story became her strength.
Lori Piccolo joined with Family Lives On as a national advocate after learning of their Tradition Program. The Tradition Program offers grieving children the opportunity to continue a tradition or activity that the child used to do with the parent who died. This holistic approach to healthy grieving has been changing the lives of grieving children for over 20 years. Lori hopes that by spreading awareness of the need for grief intervention following the death of a parent, more children will be able to not only survive but thrive following the trauma of a parent’s death.
Refreshments and appetizers will be served. The film will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m. Meet and greet with Lori immediately following.
